Dogs In School, and other work

Just got back from the Dogs In School group show and had a fantastic time! Many thanks to Patrick and Screaming Sky Gallery. The show was a great success with great music and good people turning out. If you’re in the Portland area you should definitely check it out. The show will be running through February 25th. The peice that I have in the show is sold but if you would like a print please let me know. Here’s a shot of the peice but not a print worthy one. I still have to get that done. It’s called Obedience and Music School.

While traveling I did have some time to do some sketching. This first sketch is for a painting in progress entitled Hope.

The next one I did on the plane ride home. I was looking outside during the opening reception of the show in Portland and got this image in my head. It’s sort of Ent like I think. I like it and I think I might pursue it further down the road.

Also while in SF I got to go by The Shooting Gallery to finally see in person some work by Eric Otto. Really great stuff.

Just got back from San Francisco. Great trip. I’ll share photo’s later, but wanted to upload a sketch of an idea that was started just before the trip. This is going to be the base for a new painting. I will update with the full work when it’s done.

I haven’t posted anything in a while so I thought I would put up some scans and pics of projects I’ve got going. Most of these are moleskine scans, but some of those are going to be eventually fleshed out into new works. The rest of these are the beginnings of new paintings that I’m working on right now. In other news I’ll be leaving for a trip to San Francisco on the 22nd of this month. This trip will hopefully yield some more important news to be revealed at some point after I return.

In other news, world famous knife maker Tom Mayo printed up some shirts that I designed for him. They came out pretty nice and if you happen to be at the USN Vegas show this past weekend hopefully you got a hold of one. Word is they went pretty fast. If not I’m sure Tom will send you one if you get in touch with him.

Been thinking about new projects and collecting inspiration to help spur on thought processes. Thought I would share a few, who knows maybe this will become an every day thing. Maybe just an every week thing. Anyway, hope you like.
